Slot Overview: Dwarven Gems on Megaways

Dwarf life isn’t so horrible if you can tolerate being buried alive in the center of a mountain. You get up and begin your day by smashing pebbles outside your dwelling in search of precious stones or riches. Excursions above earth to barter with other races or slaughter goblins are interspersed with eating and ale. Overall, it seems like a very good life. Dwarven Gems Megaways is set in this robust environment and features tumbles, Dwarven Bombs, free spins, and progressive multipliers from developer Iron Dog Studios.

In terms of appearance, the dwarves in this story are different from the conventional fantasy kind. Some of the guys wear augmetics to help them see in the dark or pound rocks with more force, giving them a Steampunk vibe. Dwarven Gems’ default game version is visually underwhelming, with a grey rock wall serving as the backdrop. There are 6 main reels with 2-7 symbols each and 1 additional reel with 4 symbols, for a total of 7 reels and a maximum of 200,704 ways to win. Dwarven Gems sounds substantially better than its predecessor; the inclusion of a choir track interwoven with random mining noises increases the intensity and establishes a satisfyingly weighty fantasy atmosphere.

The game is quite unpredictable, meandering along one minute and then exploding like a stick of dynamite the next, much like a stereotypically grumpy dwarf. Dwarven Gems has a theoretical RTP of 96.7% regardless of the number of times you may buy it (where that option exists). Dwarven Gems is mobile-friendly, with betting options between 10p and £/€20 each spin.

In Dwarven Gems Megaways, players win when at least two of the top prizes, or three of any other symbol, land nearby from the first reel. The first five cards on the table are the low-paying 9-A card ranks, followed by the average-paying lanterns and hammers, for a total of eleven normal payments. Six of a kind combinations with the premium symbols (a group of four dwarven miners) are worth 2.5 to 5 times the wager. Furthermore, wilds are available to substitute for other normal pay symbols to assist complete winning combos. These icons can appear anywhere except the top horizontal reel during the main game or free spins.

Slot Characteristics: Dwarven Gems Megaways

The dwarven guy on the left of the screen stands ready to help players increase their winnings by lobbing dynamite onto the reels at regular intervals. There are also free spins with increasing multipliers and a tumble mechanic that may be activated at any time, in addition to the Dwarven Bomb feature.

Tumbling symbols are used to replace winning ones after they have been blasted off the reels by the mechanism. If the new symbols help create a winning combination, they will pay out, explode, and be replaced by other symbols. This pattern of tumbling persists until there are no more possible paths to victory.

If a Dwarven Bomb lands on the first horizontal reel, the Dwarven Bomb feature will begin. This icon is a sticky wild that can replace any other pay icon. The Dwarven Bomb symbol detonates after a successful roll that ends in a bomb. One random pay symbol from each vertical reel and two more random symbols are then destroyed when the dwarf on the side lobs dynamite onto the grid.

A green gem scatter symbol can appear on reels 2-5 in the vertical position. If you get 4 of them, you’ll get to spin a bonus wheel for a chance at 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, or 11 free games. During the bonus round, any wins are multiplied by an additional 1 after each tumble.

Moreover, the Power Gem symbol, which serves as both a wild and a scatter, may appear on the top horizontal reel only during the free games. The Power Gem may turn reels 2–4 wild. The fifth reel may also get wild if two Power Gems appear. Each Power Gem doubles the number of bonus spins.

The Lucky Last Spin bonus offers additional free spins. An extra Lucky Last Spin will be awarded if you happen to win on the very last free spin. If a victory is generated by the Lucky Last Spin, the procedure will continue until a spin results in a loss.

Dwarven Gems Megaways offers numerous bonus buy choices at varied prices if allowed in your country or region. For a wager of 200 times your original stake, you can spin the bonus wheel for 6-11 more games. Alternately, wagers of 45x, 150x, or 300x award 7, 9, or 11 free games, respectively. A Bonus Upgrader can earn you 15 or 20 free spins for a stake of 400x or 500x the normal amount. The frequency with which Power Gem or Dwarven Bomb symbols appear is boosted by the Bonus Upgrader.

Casino Game Review: Dwarven Gems Megaways

The first glimpse at Dwarven Gems Megaways wasn’t the most exciting because of the dark colors and drab lighting. Thankfully, the sound designer saved the day with that gorgeous score. It’s like that scene in The Hobbit, when Bilbo’s guests sing the Misty Mountain song in harmony after the feast. Dwarven Gems wasn’t particularly impressive at first glance, but it did manage to pique my interest through clever use of the Steampunk aesthetic. The gameplay is great, but that’s only because Dwarven Gems sticks to the standard Megaways framework, which is difficult to screw up until the development team completely flubs it.

The more recent parts were quite funny. Over the course of 100 spins, Dwarven Bombs landed multiple times on average, prolonging the tumble sequence and, on sometimes, connecting a longer winning manner. Additional free spins and wilds from Power Gems are typically well-received additions to the free spins bonus. The two most costly bonus purchase choices performed the best and are appealing due to the presence of the Bonus Upgrader. A difference of 400-500 times the stake is a sizable amount, and while this feature did appear to make a difference, it by no means certain that you would gain money or even get your money back.

Overall, I enjoyed my time with Dwarven Gems Megaways; nevertheless, it is not a must-play. It adheres to the rules for the most part, but there are some optional additions that could make it interesting. Those who can afford significant bonus purchase might be in the red. Dwarven Gems put up a respectable fight, but it was ultimately bested by other games both inside and outside of the mining industry.
